Institutional Data - Vogue

The magazine I would like to produce is a music magazine that that links to art and high fashion, as well as music. Therefore I decided to research the most famous fashion magazine of all time: Vogue. To do this I used information found from the media pack on their website. Vogue magazine have a total readership of 1,103,000- 84% of which are female and 16% are male. 70% of their readers fall in the ABC1 category, with 33% in the AB category. The average age of a Vogue reader is 36. 90% of Vogue readers agree that Vogue is the fashion bible, and spent £1,977 million on fashion in the last year- despite the economic climate.

Vogue magazine is £4.00 a month and on average contains around 350 pages per issue, with 76 of the first 100 pages dedicated entirely to adverts. It costs £12,600 for a half page ad up to £129,500 for a 4 page cover gatefold advert. A majority of the adverts in Vogue are for perfume or jewellery.
